Hi Elpie,

Yep, you're right.

Just tested it. Must admit, definitely not what I was hoping for...

We have successfully integrated b2evolution into a mambo site here:

http://www.noonproposition73.com/index. ... Itemid=118

worked pretty well, in my opinion.

"how" is out of my area, but I think it was a cross between a bridge and a component.

Actually if you look at the link code it appears to be using the com_b2mambo component mentioned above

It always happens this way. After several months' discussion, you suddenly find there's someone who's done the job or a part of the job.

I haven't tried yet, but most probably, just you guys don't like it. Anyway, it's a solution, AND, it's a solution which has been there for months!!

BTW, I'd like to get a bridge instead of this integration, but I might use it after check it out. First come first served, right?

Anyway, thanks you guys!

yes that is correct, it is a modification of that component posted above, which previous posters didn't seem to like for some reason.  But the original poster should try it on your site and see it if works.

what do you mean by not work very well....it seemed to do the job we needed it to do on that site.  Basically a "true blog" that allowed people to comment, trackbacks, etc.

It doesn't work well for me because the site is a mambo site and not a joomla site, so i have errors you understand, so try yourself.

interesting....we have used it on mambo 4.5.2 as well as joomla 1.0.2.  haven't tried it yet in 1.0.3.  I am not sure what version of the component he has posted there, some of them had varying degrees of bugs in them.

Maybe this is one of those versions ;) so if yo uknow him maybe he is able to post a newer version, i haven't started yet anything of an integration fpr b2evolution so if a newer version works this would be a good base to integrate it deeper.

Currently after my wiki integration i'm integration Wordpress.

know him?  Lol....my company (DCS) paid for the development of that component because we needed something like it for our political sites.  I will see if he can post the most up to date version.

quick question to those that have tried it out. with this component, supposed it works, could I do the following:
a blog used by 5-6 ppl, each with his own blog page and a customized template for each of them, so they can use it as a homepage (witha redirect domain).
otherwise I'll stick to mamblog and hope the future will solve my problems!

tested it myself... after the usual server error (had to set CHMOD on all the admin files to 755) and having manually delete my user from the database (the one the installer had created) otherwise it was saying something like duplicate entry while performing query.
At the end I got it somehow to work... but in the config panel the edit tab was giving strange errors, there was no way to add a blog or manage the existing ones... i.e. nothing was working so I uninstalled it again.
btw I am running joomla 1.0.3.
if someone thinks about using it with 1.0.3 I'd say he's wasting his time. Let's hope Olle Johansson one day will come out with a bugfree and feature enhanced version of Mamblog...because at the moment joomla is not really usable for intensive blogging.

at the end I just fell back to standard joomla blogging features... just had to make everyone publisher so I don't need to approve everything... everything works fine and I can even set a custom template for every blog... anyway I think in the near future I will try this wordpress thing out!

Marko,

Out of curiousity, and out of curiosity only (not meant to rush you), what's the ETA on the integration of WordPress? Can't wait to take it for a spin.
