Problem after upgrade Joomla

Post by Adrian22_cz » Fri Sep 23, 2016 7:31 pm

Hello,
I would like to ask you about help. My joomla website (1.56) was hacked so I wanted to upgrade my side on 2.5. I did not use any migration tool for that and the initial website was without any content - only joomla. So I panicked and roll out back to the old one (copy backup via FTP). Right now I am not able to see the original website, since I get error 500. Do you have any suggestions how to get back to my website (have both data backup and database).

Thanks

Yes, that's what happens and you have my sympathy.

It is not possible to "upgrade" from J! 1.5 to J! 2.5 (or J! 3.x). It is only possible to migrate from J! 1.5 → J! 2.5/J!3.x

I suggest you read the helpful article https://docs.joomla.org/Joomla_1.5_to_3 ... _Migration
