Upgrading from 1.5.21 to 1.5.26
Hi
I am trying to upgrade my Joomla site from 1.5.21 to 3.x and I read in the instructions on how to do this that I should first upgrade to the last stable version 1.5.26. The thing is that I am suggested to do a back up before upgrading and the plugin that I used (Akeeba) doens't work any longer so I do not know how else I can do the back up, since newer versions of Akeeba won't install on my site.
What can I do?
Also I am not sure how to run the upgrade once I manage to do the backup (haven't done it in quite a while...)
Cheers

You can still download an older version of Akeeba Backup, 3.4.6, which is compatible with Joomla 1.5:

On 1.5 you update by uploading the files in the package with ftp and overwriting.
Going from 1.5 to 3.x, you have to migrate to a new site. That means the source site is left untouched.

Re: Upgrading from 1.5.21 to 1.5.26
You could use something from https://extensions.joomla.org/category/ ... migration/ But I would recommend rebuilding the site completely. Because Migration takes several migration steps and does not migrate menus or 3rd party extensions
You can use this guide to migrate 1.5 to 3.x https://www.eshiol.it/31-guide/j2xml/37 ... to-30.html . It will transfer Articles and users directly from 1.5.x to 3.x in one step (i.e. without migrating via other versions). Highly recommend this method.

No. I supplied the zip file directly to the "Upload package file" text box where I can browse for the file which is stored in my hard disk. Then pushed the button "Upload File & Install"

You cannot update J! 1.5 like that. Please see again, @Per's instructionsantonios wrote:I supplied the zip file directly to the "Upload package file" text box where I can browse for the file which is stored in my hard disk. Then pushed the button "Upload File & Install"
