This work for me:
- go to cPanel, public_html, Open configuration.php with Code Editor
- point cursor infront <?php and click backspase 3-4 times
- nothing seems to be changed
- click Save changes

That's it!

Cheers!

Can't login to the administrator page can also be a way to protect your site from hackers :)

Make sure you have the three index files in your administrator folder. If you are using a security extension like Admin Tools or jSecure you may need to use a different admin url to access your login.

Hi, just a simple solution that worked for me :geek: :
Delete or change a cookie configuration in file "configuration.php"
public $cookie_domain = ''; Or other value!

After spend a day in test everything... :'(

In my case it was the forced SSL-Connection, so when I changed the value $force_ssl form 1 to 0 in configuration.php then it worked (change to var $force_ssl = '0'; ). Is not a real solution because it should also work with ssl but you can than login and care about the problem.

Just fix it.
I saved CONFIGURATION.php file (edited with notepad++) in ANSI format, not UTF-8 which was default.

The problem started when I edited configuration.php in UTF-8 encoding. Must be in ANSI
