Admin login error: No input file specified.

Post by star-burst » Mon Jan 11, 2010 3:58 am

My site has been up and running on Joomla (the latest version I believe) for the last year however today, although my site is up and running, I can no longer login to the Admin. page... I have searched the forums for answers but nothing seems to work - any suggestions?

I am still "new" to this, so please bear with me.

Thank you

I host with 1&1 and at some point my index.php (root/Administrator/index.php) file had it's permissions completely turned off. I just went back in and set it to '644' and all is well.

I had the same error as mentioned in the topic "No input file specified". Setting the correct permissions on the file worked for me.

Can anyone tell why suddenly the root/index.php, and the administrator/index.php permission went 200.

I did what rkever suggest and [solved] problem solved.

but why it suddenly change without any apparent reason

Possibly a server problem or done by a FTP client the last time the site was connected to by FTP.
