Inserting HTML from Tableau Public

Post by MG27 » Sun Sep 26, 2010 11:08 am

I am attempting to put a visualization from Tableau Public (http://www.tableausoftware.com/public/)
using a custom HTML mod.

Instead of bring up the visualization on my page, all it shows is a link to the Tableau Public site. Anyone had any experience with this? Any ideas welcome?

Solved it by using the "HTML mod" extension.

Can't understand why it didn't work using Joomla custom HTML mod though.

BTW tableau public is a very clever tool/site if you want to put smart looking data vizualizations on your site.

Hi,

I'm still trying to insert code from Tableau public into an article.
This is the code:

<script type="text/javascript" src="http://public.tableausoftware.com/javas ... pt><object class="tableauViz" width="647" height="1295" style="display:none;"><param name="name" value="Quakes_3_Plus_Since_1970/EarthquakesnearLocation" /><param name="tabs" value="yes" /><param name="toolbar" value="yes" /></object><noscript>Earthquakes near Location <br /><a href="#"><img alt="Earthquakes near Location " src="http://public.tableausoftware.com/stati ... /1_rss.png" height="100%" /></a></noscript><div style="width:647px;height:22px;padding:0px 10px 0px 0px; color:black;font:normal 8pt verdana,helvetica,arial,sans-serif;"><div style="float:right; padding-right:8px;"><a href="http://www.tableausoftware.com/public?r ... arLocation" target="_blank">Powered by Tableau</a></div></div>

What should I do to make this word. I've already set al filtering options to 'no filtering'.

I was successful using Sourcerer.

Use the 'plain' editor, i.e., the one without the formatting header, and use 'source 0' thusly:

{source 0}
Tableau snippet
{/source}
