Old hack - a few bits need clearing up

Post by mudskippa » Wed Dec 18, 2013 11:57 am

Hi,

My site got hacked last year. I managed to resolve most of the issues but have only just noticed that some of the meta info still has the "hacked by..." message on it.

If I right-click to look at the 'page info' on my homepage http://www.bethburgess. co.uk there is a second set of 'keywords' and 'description' that read with the hacker info.

Looking at the page source, I can see it is on line 217-8. I don't know which file this is on to change it. Can anyone help me please?

Many thanks!

Reason: broke link. posting a complete link to an exploited site can be dangerous.

Have you checked your site template's html file?

Hi, Thanks for the reply. I've had a look at some of the template html files but with no luck. There are so many. Do you know where this particular bit of html code is likely to be? Thanks.

Sorry, I can not view your site as it has been flagged as containing malware;
http://sitecheck.sucuri.net/results/www ... gess.co.uk
Maybe you can copy and paste your source code for the page, but it may get blocked if it contains links to malware sites. You may need to go through the sticky posts at the top of this forum again and see what you missed.
There are others in this forum with more knowledge on site hacks then I so it may help to follow their recommendations first.
