Disable emailing of articles

Post by krackerjax » Tue Nov 27, 2007 5:47 am

When writing or editing an article you can choose whether to hide or show the email icon.  Unfortunately, though, all this does is not show the icon.  It does not disable the sending of the article.  I looked around and it doesn't seem as if Joomla! has a way to edit/modify the permissions of groups.  I will check in the extensions directory.

Another idea on sending of articles is maybe to have it send a timestamp and the user's IP address.  Even further maybe would be CAPTCHA for members not logged in.  I would really like to see some sort of CAPTCHA developed for 1.5.  I know I posted about CAPTCHA elsewhere, but this just reminded me of it again.

You are right!

I think CAPTCHA is a must and for joomla 1.0.13
