what tables and db columns are used for security?

Post by lalaNoob » Sun Dec 02, 2007 7:08 pm

Hello,

I'm looking at the database file joomla.sql and I am looking to understand how the security system works.

What tables and db columns should I be looking for?

Depends on what you consider "security" ?  What are you actually trying to work out or acheive..?

I want to understand how security works in joomla!

ie. how users are restricted/blocked from accessing the varoius permission rights (update, delete, view, etc).

I am also looking at drupal and I kind of have an idea on how it works with nodes and node access.

now I want to understand how joomla performs security checks etc.

SO, any guidance for me ? (what tables and .php files to focus on?)
ya for Joomla!
