Advice - ecommerece website on Joomla

Post by soodvarun » Wed Feb 13, 2008 3:45 pm

Hi Everyone,
I am new to Joomla and found it very powerful and its a nice CMS.
I was wondering on how much is Joomla good of ecommerce websites? Websites with cart and financial transactions for a medium scale business. I am asking this because I am not familiar with how much secure Joomla is and is it really ready for shopping websites?

Any concerned comments are welcome :)

Joomla! itself is as secure as is feasibly possible, your webserver and PHP configuration are generally the highest concerns with these types of queries and the choice of eCommerce application (extension).

You would do better asking the developers of your selected eCommerce extension as to their functionality and security, Joomla! has litle control over Third-Party capabilities.
