virus in imagefolder

hello,
since a week or so sometimes a virus appears in the image-folder of my old 1.5 site- its always something like gif.gif, explorer.gif, ect.
It seems to do nothing(beside sometimes ruin new phoca-gallery-creations), onlinescanner like sucuri says site is clean- but avira alert php/hide.f,phpwebshell.AH.
Anyone know what that is and where the mainscript could be?
