Website Suggestions - Worried people leaving home page

Good Morning,

I was wondering if someone with knowledge was able to view my website and make suggestions as to where I can improve. I am worried potential clients are leaving after the home page. Factors:
1) Speed
2) Information
3) Interest

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Hi,

Page speed could be a problem, it does load very slowly - the background image is 470kb which is a reasonable size, especially if the viewers connection is slow or the hosting server is slow (which it appears to be).

In terms of the page itself, it's not bad - in fact the header and menu are quite nice. It all goes wrong for me with the picture - I'm not buying your building, I'm buying your fish, so show me a picture of it, or preferably a few!!

The pictures of the actual products are tiny, different sizes, not aligned, etc, etc - that's the thing you're selling, make it look nice...

Also, a 'call to action' (horrible, over used marketing phrase alert ) would be useful - maybe a 'contact us' box, or a newsletter sign-up, something to get people to interact.

Really not a bad effort overall, just think more about why people are visiting the site and change to suit.

I'm attempted to make a slideshow to present all pictures better but am having trouble finding a good free extension to use.

So I have made changes mostly to the front page as I thought this was our weak spot. Any input?

Also we most likely will not make it an e-commerce site as we are a processor/manufacteur selling mostly to distributors/wholesalers.
