New Subforums Added!

Post by Rogue4ngel » Tue Aug 21, 2007 12:08 pm

Welcome to the NEW Joomla Coding 101 forums!  With the popularity of the Coding 101 initiative, there has been a flourish of activity as new developers start stretching their wings and gear up for some serious programming.  The community has responded with wonderful enthusiasm in bringing this forum to life, and contributions have been steadily rolling in.

Early on a number of different and popular topics have emerged.  In light of this, using feedback we've recieved from the community in general, we have implemented four new subforums to help segregate information to make it even easier for our new developers to find exactly what they need.

We also have added three new forum moderators.  Please welcome aboard tjay, bacherz and seadap to the Joomla Workgroup!  They have all made wonderful contributions to the coding initiative, and now join us to continue to help nurture our joombie developer forum.

Here is a quick rundown of the subforums for you:

Joombie Tools of the Trade
For discussion about specific tools of the trade and other assorted items needed to equip the joombie with everything they need to embark on their developer journeys.

Joombie Coding Q/A
Have a programming question regarding your component,  plug-in, extension or core hacks?  Have an interesting tidbit, FAQ or programming tip you'd like to share?  This is the place for you.

Joombie Think Tank
A meet-and-greet for our aspiring developers looking for like minded souls to share inspiring ideas and concepts related to Joomla! development.  Discuss your apps, gather your team, and get ready to code!

Joombie Developer Lab
Project team discussion area for current projects, directed studies, course work and other works in progress.

We will be spending some time moving appropriate topics to the new sub forums, so if you have posted and can't seem to find your post, more than likely it has been moved to a respective sub forum.  If you have any questions regarding the move or anything else that you may not be sure about, feel free to post in the general section and we'll be happy to direct you to the proper area.

Thanks for your patience during this transition.  We are very excited about helping our community with their newest endeavor, and we hope to continue to serve it as best we can by giving you the tools you need to make your experience as enjoyable and informative as possible!

Thanks again to all of our contributors; we're looking forward to a great deal more!

If you're not a part of the solution, you're a part of the problem.
