yvSmiley is a Smiley (Emoticon) extension for Joomla! 1.6
For "Joomla! 1.5" please download yvSmileyPlugin v.1. package, the latest one is v.1.03.001.
Thats what you can find at yuri´s page - it looks like that you tried to install the wrong version

Hello,

sorry for my mistakes I do not speak English very well. First, thank you for this great plugin. I have a problem with yvComment and yvSmiley. I configured yvSmiley to run on all categories and articles. When I'm connected, the smileys appears in the articles and comments. But when I'm not online (public), the smileys are not displayed in the yvComment comments (but they appear in the articles) :eek: . This seems to be a rights issue.

Can anyone help me please? Any ideas?

My setup of yvComment:

Access: Public

use BD: yes
Use category: yes
Category for comments: Comments

Use of content type plugins: yes
smiley buttons displayed: yes
HTML in comments: no

Allow comments from guests: yes
Visitor Nickname: Guest
(the guest user is part of the commentsauthors group, can create articles in the comments category)

My setup of yvSmileys:
Access: Public
Smiley Set: phpBB sample set
Enable for The Whole page: yes
enable for articles: yes
categories: all
exclude: no
use default css: no

I use Joomla! 1.7, the comments category is public.

Hi everybody.

Is there some way to have the smileys appear in the article editor (TinyMCE)? This will make it easy for authors to see what smileys are available.

Best regards, Thomas

Thanks for this plugin!

I'm currently using it on a Joomla 2.5 site with the Batjo Ajax Shoutbox.

I'm having a small styling issue. When a smiley posts, the vertical text align defaults to bottom. This brings the line spacing way down, and causes some very noticeable gaps.

Going into the database, I looked at how the shouts were posting. The smileys look like this (I'm using a custom set built on Kunena smileys):

<img src="http://www.kindredlinkshell.com/media/k ... s/w00t.png" alt="SMILEYS_WOOHOO" class="yvSmiley" />

Inside the img tag, I added this:

style="vertical-align: top;"

And now it looks great!

So, my question is, how can I alter the code of the plugin so that it adds this alignment automatically? I obviously don't want to be cracking my database every time someone posts a shout with a smiley. ;)

Thanks in advance!
