during the migration of my joomla 3.10 site to joomla 4.x and PHP 8, I recognized that the Sexy Polling plugin is not working with joomla 4.x. Additionally, the earlier developer of the component (2GLux.com) announces "Business Closed Permanently" on the website.
Therefore, I forked the GNU/GPL based code and worked on a migration, which I now provide on Github:

Change log:
- Based on version 2.1.7 from the original plugin developer 2GLux.com, former website 2GLux.com
- Added a patch to fix a reported security issue
- Removed some limitations of the former FREE version
- Added Joomla update system to check and install new releases of the plugin
- Migrated the code to the Joomla 4.x CMS and module API
- Joomla 4.2.5; but should also run with other Joomla 4.x versions
- PHP 8.0.23; but should also run with other PHP 8.x versions
