Volunteer Management: Check-in/Check-out

Hi there,

I am a social worker working in a hospital. May I know if anyone has a clue about volunteer management incorporated into Joomla? Especially if there is an extension that can help volunteers to check in when they come and check out after their activity so that the system automatically logs the hours which the particular volunteer has volunteered inside the database automatically?

Is Joomla able to do the above?

Does anyone have any idea how to do the above? Or at least a nudge in the right direction please?  :P

I suspect that one of the task management programs could do this to some extent.

Looks like there isn't a satisfactory answer. CivicCrm seems to dominate the googleverse on this but it won't install satisfactorily on Joomla
