acajoom

Post by almarjin » Mon Feb 18, 2008 6:32 am

Hi,

I'm using acajoom for my news letter and I want to remove the Acajoom News 1.6.0, Powered by Joobi. because I dont want my client to see it. And I'm trying to remove the subscriber's information and your subscription.

Thanks

Don't know if one is "allowed" but that text is in administrator/components/com_acajoom/classes/class.jmail.php

There is supposed to be something for it in the config.acajoom.php, but that didn't work for me.

Code: Select all

$acajoomConfigFile['show_signature']
(I use 2.0.1 thoigh so might not be the same)

Hi there, to remove the "Powered by Joobi" that shows up at the bottom of the newsletters (even if you deactivate the "show footer" option in the admin panel) of the latest free version of Acajoom 3.2.7 you just have to block out the following lines (135-144) in /administrator/components/com_acajoom/classes/class.jmail.php

so it looks like this (just add /* at the beggining and */ at the end as I show below):

Code: Select all

 		/*if ($GLOBALS[ACA.'show_signature'] ==1 ) {
			if($html) {
				$signatureText ='<a href="http://www.ijoobi.com" target="_blank">';
				$signatureText .='<br /><center><span style="color:#666666; font-size: .8em; text-align: center; ">Powered by Joobi</span></center>';
				$signatureText .='</a>';
			} else {
				$signatureText ='Powered by Joobi ( http://www.ijoobi.com )';
			}
			$subscriptionstext .= "\r\n\r\n" . $signatureText;
		}*/
That worked great for me, let me know if it doesn't for you.

Greetings,

I can't find the classes folder in the path that you mentioned above. ??? i went into the components folder, in com_acajoom and no class folders.. just css, images, templates, and upload..

where else would it be?

oh wait.. it's in the administrator compeonts.. doyyyy

Well I did what you said, but the signature is still there in the admin.

That change in the code is to delete the signature from the newsletters, not from the admin area.

Is there a way to remove it from the admin area as well?

I just don't want the word joomla to show

I guess it doesn't matter
