Show page for 1st time visitor only

Hello,

I have a simple question. I am looking for a way to show certain information on the main page only for the first time visitor. Then when they come to the site the next time they would see the normal content. Is there a component or plugin for that? I don't want to use a popup window for that because some people will have popups blocked.

Hi

Woukdn't you have to store the ip address of every single visitor.

Also, every visitor has multiple devices etc

Is it really feasible without people being registered first?
