related keyword search component for indexed PDF files

Hello,

We have an internal Joomla site using OS PDF Indexer which we are using to index hundreds of PDF documents, but unfortunately this component does not allow for a "related" or associated keyword search which we need.

Can anyone recommend a component which would allow for this or would anyone by chance have customized OS PDF Indexer to search on related keywords? Does EDocman allow for related/associated keyword search as well?

J! 1.5 is not recommended, sorry. The extensions you mentioned will not work with J! 1.5.

You have two topics that seem to be related to your question. You created this topic in the forum category for J! 1.5 issues (and I replied earlier in connection with that). What version of Joomla are you using and where would you like me to reply?

We might be upgrading to Joomla 3.

I was just wondering if you are anyone else could recommend a Joomla 3 component that would allow for "related" or associated keyword searching in indexed pdf files or in a specific directory which contained PDF documents.

For example, if you searched for "car" the results should also return "automobile".

I cannot help you in this topic. Those extensions do not work with J! 1.5. If you want help please use the correct topic.
