How to output and save content?

I've got a couple old J1.5 sites -- yeah, I know -- that I'm planning to take offline soon. The content is old but I'd like to save the articles. Is there an extension that will essentially suck up all articles from certain categories like a giant vacuum cleaner and package them in a file or series of files, HTML & images intact? I'm thinking something like those "spider" programs that used to be able grab an entire website and present it offline.

You can use the Joomla 1.5 version of the extension J2XML, available through the Joomla Extensions Directory (JED) at https://extensions.joomla.org/extension/j2xml/. I have not used the 1.5 version but the 3.x version was updated yesterday.
