Pure Stock Conrol.

Hi all,

I had an idea of trying out web based stock control instead of the excel that we currently use.
Using Joomla! And VirtueMart I have spent a week trying to accomplish my goal but unfortunately I can’t use a shop.
I`m tripping over the checkout box module.

Right now I have a fair but not great HTML knowledge and I am reading a PHP basics book so someday I hope that I can manage this by myself, for right now I hope that someone can help me on the way.

This is what I would like to accomplish:

-A Stock list with several product description fields. (Model, stock amount, available/reserved.)
-Two panels, Stock Admin and Stock user, Admin need to see requested bookings, user need to see only available products.
-Product Reservation and Confirmation but without payments.
-User feedback, user need to report some data back to Stock Admin.

Has anyone come across such a module? Or perhaps is it very complicated to write such a module? Or perhaps is it easier to adapt an existing shop?

Any help is greatly appreciated.
