Need suggestions for a simple idea

Using: Joomla 1.5

I'm working on a consciously simplistic site and am in need of a little advice. For my site, I am going to have articles that need a calendar. Each article's calendar will be unique with data filling the calendar unique to that article. The idea is to keep the layout as simple and readable as possible. I'd like the calendar to look good, but nothing too fancy. I've messed around with EventList and the Q calendar module but that gets too cumbersome for entering data since there will be quite a bit. I'm new to Joomla and am not too experienced with web programming so any tips would be much appreciated, thanks!

I figured it out using GCalendar, which works flawlessly. Now I'd like to be able to search those particular calendars, now that's going to be a problem I think.
