Firefox browser vibrations
Hi,
Congrats and thanx for the Javanya template.
I have installed RC4 on an Ubuntu 7.10 Desktop localhost installation. - Foxy Blog style
The template is looking very good but with Firefox - When I click links between top navigation and Key concepts Menu, (different menus) there is a change in column widths.
Can there be a column width issue in Javanya - clicking between links in different menus ?
Or is it just Firefox ?
Thanks

Greattt work!
IT is simple and good quality BUT i am having problem on registering user account. When I click on register user account on main page I am getting this message
"Welcome to the Registered User content of our site" and i can not see and enter username email , password etc form, I am new to joomla this might be a noob question but on other themes i can see that info..
Thanks

[javanya] - Poll results (ie7, wxp)
LS,
Very nice layout. I personally love "simple", clean layouts (simple between quotes since most of the time to make it look simple it just gets more complicated). I did notice one problem though. If I vote (on the demo site) of simply view the results of the vote the menu-bar on top of the screen is "wrong"...See the following thumbnail (the red box is added in PSP).
With kind regards,
Fred Schenk

Unfortunately the breadcrumb still has a problem with IE7FredSchenk wrote: LS,

Re: Template Contest Entry - [javanya] updated
Doengs, thanks for this template- I love it for so many reasonss (many already listed here)... I was wondering how many 'user' positions there are (glancing at the index.php I think I counted about 6? top, right, left, user 1,2 and 3?) I need to know so I can use one that isn't assigned to anything else, in a content area, for 'loadposition user'x'' to try and put a module in a content; article.
Would really appreciate a reply

i'm using all default joomla module positions except 'footer'. banner, breadcrumb, top, left, right, user1, 2, 3, 4, syndicate (10).

Re: Template Contest Entry - [javanya] updated
Thanks Doeng. K, I think I get it- you've assigned modules up to 4 (user 1-4) but more positions are actually available (as Joomla itself is set up) to assign more modules to? Because I just picked 'user6' for some reason, and assigned it to the elio module, (and not assigned to any other module) then entered 'loadpostion user6' in the content area/article and it seems to work. Thanks, I'm getting it

Re: Template Contest Entry - [javanya] updated
Great template here, doengs. I am having an issue though trying to disable author and publishing dates on articles in this template. When set to "hide" they'll be hidden in the default joomla templates but not yours. Any thoughts? (I'm using rc4)

First of all – Thanx for all your efforts to bring up this nice template...doengs wrote: javanya 1.08 fixed the width change in RC4
Can you give some clues about the changes you made? i mean the width/pushed-up area two posts earlier.
I have seen similar things in another template on IE7, but i can´t figure out the problem.
TIA!

Re: Template Contest Entry - [javanya] updated
I'm new to Joomla and just started working with 1.5. I wanted to find some free 1.5 templates so I did a Google search and found the top 5 contest here. From reading all the previous posts I could not tell... did you win? Or is voting still going on? What is the voting deadline?
Let me just say that I looked at all 5 entries and I think yours is the best because of its simplicity and ability to customize. I also liked 5 Point Unity and if I had one suggestion for you it would be that you consider adding more parameter change options like they included. These kind of options for new Joomla users really help in getting the kind of website you want without having to know coding.
I think the highest complement I can give you is that yours is the first "free" template that I would actually consider paying for! If you ever start a template club or even add a "donation" link to your personal website, please post it here. I've heard that Amazon has a "wish list" option where you list items you'd like and other people can buy them for you as gifts. I'll bet many people would gladly shower you with gifts for this wonderful template!

Re: Template Contest Entry - [javanya] updated
I was just playing around with the template some more and came across the missing breadcrumbs problem in IE7. I see that hitting "CTL -" does make them reappear but I don't think I want my web visitors to have to do that. I also tried removing the RSS feed module and that didn't help.
I'm very new to Joomla, CSS, etc, so this might be a dumb question, but is there an easy way to change the font size just for the breadcrumbs in whatever template or module file controls that? Seems like if there was a way to make the breadcrumb text smaller globally that would solve this issue.
*** EDIT ***
Correction, I solved my own problem. Let me post it here for any other noob like me:
You need to go into the HTML file and remove this line (its just under the "breadcrumbs" line):
That did the trick... breadcrumbs are back in IE7! And this is fine for me since I don't plan to syndicate my feed.

Re: Template Contest Entry - [javanya] updated
Hi,
1. I *really* love this template! Great job.
2. I'm having a different issue with the breadcrumbs. I think it's just a CSS issue with the font color, but I don't know where to make the fix.
Specifically -- I'm using the "khaki" version of the template with the "classic portal" layout. The last item in the breadcrumb list is not visible, I think because the breadcrumb font is too dark against the background. When I highlight that area with my cursor, I can see that the breadcrumb text is there -- it just isn't visible. I'm attaching a snapshot.
--> Where might I change the font color for the breadcrumb items?
Thanks!

Second, you're right about the font color for breadcrumbs in khaki version
Try change the color to #fff from template.css around line #222
Code: Select all
.pathway, .pathway a:hover {
color:#333;}
