Re: Template Contest Entry - [javanya] updated
Love the template but I'm a die-hard tweaker so I've been fiddling a bit. One thing I've noticed is the spacing between the main contentopen columns in the Front Page view is fine, but in a Section view page the content columns are smack-dab against each other, leaving no gutter. I know the problem is somewhere around here in the code but I can't seem to figure it out in the css. I don't see an "article_column" anywhere.
Here are two examples. The first is the Front Page view and the second is a Section view.
Code: Select all
<table class="blog" cellpadding="0" cellspacing="0">
<tr>
<td valign="top">
<table width="100%" cellpadding="0" cellspacing="0">
<tr><td valign="top" width="50%" class="article_column">
<table class="contentpaneopen">
<tr>
<td class="contentheading" width="100%">

i think now it's more tidy for the alignment.newart wrote: I hope that the template's been updated with that column issue...
see on weblinks.
in table category, it's not about the alignment. Only need space before 'Article Title' and 'Author'. see this.
and also in newsfeed
yes, the template has been updated

Re: Template Contest Entry - [javanya] updated
I was searching for a way to turn off category list numbering in 1.5 and came across this topic:
http://forum.joomla.org/index.php/topic,227508.0.html
I've burned myself hacking core stuff before so I'm trying really hard to use the tools provided for modifying presentation.
I don't have the file mentioned, however, in my javnaya folder. All I have in html/com_content/category is index.html and blog.php. Can I accomplish the removal of numbering through this template?
Thanks,
~Jacy

Nevah mind, I grabbed the updated template and not only found the 'missing' file, I got rid of the numbering, too. Not exactly what I'm after (I'd like a bulleted list) but it's better than the numbering, for my purpose.
Thanks again for such a whip of a template!

Re: Template Contest Entry - [javanya] updated
Hello & thank you for creating this beautiful & clean template!
I have a couple questions that I have come across while using.
1. Breadcrumbs - magically appears in the proper spot when enabled, but also appears in whatever "module" i've been forced to select to put it in. i've moved it all around, played with unenabling it, etc. Any suggestions?
2. The top colored bar that you have latest news, most popular, etc it... how did you get the 3 to be side by side? I can get 2 to be side by side, but the 3rd wants to move beneath. Played with this a lot to no avail.
Just as a suggestion, it would be helpful to have a Typography page & Module Positions page. It doesn't take too long to figure out on my own, but might help others.
THANK YOU!!!

1. I saw it in the bottom on your site and breadcrumbs should not appears twice. Have you tested on localhost ?
2. Those modules are standard 'user1', 'user2' and 'top'. I saw you put 2 modules in the same 'user1' position, that's why it move beneath.
I'll add those information pages as suggested. Thanks

Hi Yudith, thanks for your reply.
1. what do you mean by testing on localhost? it is running on a locally served database. what position should breadcrumbs be put in to not display twice?
2. Ahhh. top does work. thank you. having a module "map" would really help here
Beautifly work, thank you!

Re: Template Contest Entry - [javanya] updated
I really like this template and I will use it. I can post the end result once finished, if you folks so wish.
I will have to make minor adjustments and I will use my own header/logo of course. I am creating a United Nations themed website and this template (the blue color scheme) is really a great base. excellent work

Really nice template. Clean and lots of options.
I was playing with it and noticed that the following do not extend to the full screen in firefox. Any idea how to do that. I tried setting width to auto and 100% but neither worked.
- jv-wrap-bottom
- jv-wrap-top
Thanks!

they extend automatically to full screen because they have no widthLikeStuff wrote: - jv-wrap-bottom

the width setting is on the following line
Code: Select all
#jv-top, #jv-mid, #jv-bottom, #jv-footer {
width:960px; margin: 0 auto;}

Hi,
Thanks for replying. During further testing....I realize it looks like that if you are viewing it in FireFox at a resolution of 800x600.
Thanks!
