My guess is that the problem lies within the ja/js.rightcol.js file, but I dont know enough javascript to troubleshoot this one

Helou, sorry for asking again, can someone help with ie6 problem? I readed older posts and two forum users had same problem.

Thanks Matu, it's http://www.37stars.com.  I've no changes other than a new logo.png file.

hey, great template and an awesome introduction to 1.5's format. i've been playing with the settings but can't seem to get the top mootools menu to show a section is active at the same time as the left joomla menu is highlighted. i know this is possible given that the purity demo site achieves it under the news and layout dropdowns.

Image

i had it set up so the topbar linked to the articles and the left menu used aliases point back to the top menu items.. but in that case only the one the alias points to is highlighted, not both.

also curious if there would be a way to highlight the sub-items on the left joomla menu individually instead of the whole subset being selected.

this is my last big hurdle with the template, thanks again!

Attention Siteground & JA Purity Users.

Here's the latest about the Line 146 Error message that you receive when trying to change the template parameters.  Apparently, the JA Purity template does not work well with Siteground's default PHP version 5.0.5.  You must upgrade to 5.2.4. in order to be able to change the template parameters.  Here's what their support team told me:

The default PHP version for your account was se to 5.0.5 and it seems that this template is not working well with it.

I had to change the default PHP version for your hosting account to 5.2.4. I defined that in the public_html/.htaccess file. This fixed the problem.

For more information how you will be able to re-define the PHP version for your entire hosting account or per folder, please check the following URL:

http://kb.siteground.com/article/How_to ... sions.html
Hope this is helpful to all who have been googling for answers.

Enjoy!

Hi! I think this template is great. Unfortunately, there is only so much space for the header graphic.

How would one:
  1. Change the color of the TOP menu to color xxxxxx?
  2. Change the OPACITY of the TOP menu?
    - Could the bottom of the top banner be seen underneath?

Your help, especially for question 2, would be GREATLY appreciated.

Thanks!

so i figured out how to get both the top and left menus highlighted simultaneously but i run into my second problem - being unable to highlight 2nd and 3rd tier links on the left joomla menu. to have both highlighted the menu on the left has to have the exact same structure as the top mootools menu.

my menu structure is as follows:
home | services (->overview mining forestry consulting) | contact | about us

problem is that when i'm in services lets say, on the left i want to just have the items contained in that top menu without having to set the parent menu to services as well. so ideally services & overview off the top menu would both link to overview on the left menu of that section and keep both items highlighted!

if anyhow has a clue how to do this i would be infinitely grateful!
cheers

Hi colmcille

The EASY way to replace the top banner is to first find images/header folder in your japurity folder.
Simply replace the three images there with your own.

Since the programing is set to random pick one of the three, just copy your own banner three times over with different names.

Hope this helps!

Look again at the CSS. You've specified how wide each of those columns should be. That means they won't change. Ever.

Code: Select all

<?php } ?>
        <!-- BEGIN: RIGHT COLUMN -->
        		<?php if ($this->countModules('right2')) { ?>
		<!-- END: RIGHT COLUMN -->
		<div id="ja-col3">
			<jdoc:include type="modules" name="right2" style="jarounded" />
		</div><br />

		<?php } ?>
I have never seen or used this template before, so I'm shooting from the hip, here. I could be way off, but what you might want to try is:

1) creating a new column class, like "ja-col2w" and giving it a wider spec. ("width: 40%" for example)
2) testing the number of "right2" before writing "col2" and write the col as "ja-colw" instead of "ja-col2"

Maybe that will work.

Your logo is an image with a link and you are seeing the default blue link border. Try this in your css:

h1.logo img {border: none;}

Not tested but this solution looks logical :)

Menu Question

Post by NixieAnne » Sat Feb 02, 2008 6:00 pm

I love the way the menus look. Is there a way to make it so that the Horizontal Navigation doesn't show more than the primary menu item?

so it would be

Home  |  Blah blah blah  |  Random  |  Wow  |  About  |  Links  |  Contact

instead of

Home  |  Blah blah blah  |  Random  |  Wow  |  About  |  Links  |  Contact
                  drop down
                  drop down

for the table i found a solution, it's not a problem with the but it seems that the content article is post directly after the info article

so i put an espace at the beginning of the article like this :

and it's work

but i always hev the problem with communauty builder

Hello Everybody,

I've installed and tested successfully this template on my website, but I have some questions about the embedded dropdown menu.

The website I've done is multi-lang, using M17n, and it seems that it's not compatbile with JA Sukerfish menu, as it's showing all the items whatever the language is instead of showing only items of selected language.
It is working fine for all the other menus (left menu, user menu, topmen in another position..)
Any idea on how to manage this?
EDIT: it is working fine with the final release of M17n!

In fact they display under the right column.

Quite an important drawback.
This issue has been raised on more than one occasion. To edit an article from the front end is impossible. It really is important to the function of the template, but it seems not to have been addressed here. This is a template issue isn't it? How can the right column display be inhibited when the editor is opened from the front end?

I would need a bit of help resizing the left side... I don't need that much space and the white space takes too much space...

How I do it?

I tried changing in CSS (ja-col1) to be always 20% and (ja-contentwrap), now on root adress, it works the left column is thinner and main body widher, but it just happens in root site, the moment I follow a link to a content item/forums/whatever it defaults to previous valour...

Also, it just moves the column, but the grey/white background stays the same, so the mainbody starts on grey to pass to white part after a few leters...

Edit: Ok, just noticed the colors are not made on the css but on a background image xD
Noticed also at least 3 diferents background, when is each one used?

Also, how could I use the 'rounded outline' we have on right on the others?

Forgot to mention, I like the template a lot, is clear and elegant  :-*

Where would I find the diagram that I see for a lot of templates which shows the locations of each module, plug in, and area.
Specifically, I'm looking for the diagram for the JA_Purity template.

I've look in the OP and don't see it in there.
Hoping someone else knows.

Found a bug in IE7... working flawlessly in Opera and Firefox...

Image
As you can see, logo is surrounded by a 2 pixels link kind blue line, and the menus are transparent unless you're hovering over them...

Still looking for help on changing side panels width on all web, not just on main  :laugh:
