Connecting CMS with other apps

Post by sahithya » Wed Oct 21, 2020 9:49 am

I have been using MS Sharepoint as a CMS and my experience was good with this platform. I am also using other platforms such as jira, hubspot, G-suite etc to get my works done. Is there any way to connect my CMS with other apps to sync the data and get updated?

Depending on what you mean with apps though Joomla is powerful to integrate with your needs.

Joomla components or other "apps" you can look at different solution scenarios using SSO solutions for example if you want users to login automagically and using same profile data. SAML Sibolleth is some fedration methods can be used and there are some Joomla extensions also for that can help https://extensions.joomla.org/extension ... or-joomla/ https://extensions.joomla.org/extension ... -rest-api/

Or add other Joomla "apps" your Joomla set up multisites (apps) https://extensions.joomla.org/extension ... ghtysites/ so it depends on what you want to do?

Integrate with a marketing automation open source solutions like Mautic? No problem https://www.mautic.org/

Integrate with a CRM open source solutions like SuiteCRM that have same powerful tools like Salesforce ? No problem https://suitecrm.com/

etc

Currently I am using Joomla & jira, there are many advantages if you have Joomla as your CMS. If you are willing to go for Joomla, you can go through these thread: viewtopic.php?t=698483
https://www.cloudpipes.com/integrations/jira/joomla
I was also a big fan of MS Sharepoint as a CMS and was in your shoes a few months ago. I use Jira and wanted to connect with Sharepoint but couldn’t find any direct way. After a lot of research, I found automation tools that could help me achieve this and finally, I was able to manage my data sync between Sharepoint and Jira using automate.io. Other options are available as well, however, this one worked well for me because I’m a non-technical person and it gave me this drag and drop feature to create automations, which was easy to understand.
