Early days but may as well start now ...

Post by Geraint » Fri Aug 19, 2005 5:43 pm

I don't want to lose the momentum with some development work I'm doing and wondered when/if opensourcematters is likely to have its own CVS server?

I guess that there will be very little development at mamboserver/mambofoge in the short term at least, so I'd be safe with the latest 4.5.3 versions from mamboforge.net.

Geraint, the 453 CVS of MamboForge would be the latest public code, yes. Please give time to community to re-build itself and get a stronger grip on things.

Ok it has been a while since I pulled the CVS off of mambo forge.
I have my wincvs fired up but the old commands no longer work.

Can someone throw up their commands and or settings to help us slugs grab the latest CVS?

FAQ#9. What will happen to the third party projects on Mamboforge?

We are working on infrastructure issues right now, and will make an announcement as soon as plans are in place for a new development repository.

I keep trying to get into CVS on mamboforge with Turtle CVS and it keet failing.  Here is what is displayed.  Any ideas on what I am doing wrong?

In D:\Htdocs\mambo\Mambo 4.5.3: "C:\Program Files\TortoiseCVS\cvs.exe" "-q" "checkout" "-P" "4.5.x"
CVSROOT=:pserver:cvs -d :pserver: [email protected]  ://www.mamboforge.net  :/cvsroot/mambo

cvs.exe [checkout aborted]: Error connecting to host mamboforge.net  : The requested name is valid and was found in the database, but it does not have the correct associated data being resolved for.
