CDN/hosting recommendations

Hello,

I don't need a CDN recommendation per se as our demographic is very local, more something that will host all images (our site is very image intensive), minify code/javascript/css etc for us to increase speed size and decrease page size. Any recommendations, am having trouble finding something?

Site is around 7 seconds to load

How long does the website take to respond? Does it respond immediately? Or does the "Waiting for..." takes a few seconds? In the latter case, your problem is with the application itself, and not with the images, etc...

It would be a good idea to do some analysis on the website in order to locate the bottleneck. Typically, server side issues are harder to solve than client side issues (you are assuming that your problem is only on the client side - but how can you be sure)?

Could you provide more context about this issue?

The site is working fine, i'm just looking for recommendations about hosting environments/CDN's that would help improve site speed.

I can recommend MaxCDN, reasonably priced and been reliable for me. Online help chat is really fast and really helped me get the CDN set up correctly in no time at all. Amazon seems good though pricey.

I would recommend Siteground as they use their own caching system that would really help improve site speed instantly. About CDN i would say MaxCDN, or KeyCDN if you are on budget.

I am using Cloudflare.. pretty good.. but I mainly use it because I can manage the DNS through an API.

what is your url? Maybe there are other improvements you can try first?

right.... with tons of popups, popdowns, trackers and gazillion cookies to drop?
you can check your actual load when using a debugger in your browser (in your browser -> hit F12 -> tab Network -> disable your cache -> hit F5) to analyze the culprits...

it may well be a combination of slow load PLUS to much to handle for the browser... if it is a browsers burden or files too large... a CDN is not gonna help.
