How to create a new FTP account?

Can we create a new FTP account through Joomla administrator for a client to login into our site? This would need to be read permissions only atm.

I'm new to most of this so simple steps. if this is possible. would help. Currently, our site is hosted by AWS ec2. I'm not sure if the FTP has to be created through AWS or it can be created by Joomla administrator. We don't use cPanel? But I do have access through either PuTTy or Filezilla along with Joomla administrator.

Any direction/help on this would be greatly appreciated.

You can create a new ftp account from your host control panel if your host account let you to to create more than one ftp account.
