Best way forward single language sites

Hello,

I'm a joomla admin for a company with several subdomains. I don't really have much experience with localization (I managed to do a canadian english/french site, but I think that was mostly luck).

We will be (very!) soon adding domains for Japan and South Korea. They will be single language sites. They are english right now, content is currently being reviewed and translations will be provided to me via spreadsheet.

What is the best way for me to proceed and convert these sites to single language for their respective languages? Do I need Joomfish? I don't know because we are not looking to have these as multi-lingual sites. Do I need Language packs for Japanese and Korea? Is it just as easy as cutting and pasting the translations into the various articles and modules?

Thank you for any help you can provide, I'm really in a bind and don't want to start down one road and find out there was simpler/better/easier way to do it.

As the sites are going to be mono-lingual sites and the fact that they are not integrated, there is no need to use any extension such as Joom!Fish. Just follow the procedures for developing a normal site. Only things is that you would be maintaining multiple sites.

Of course, you have to install the appropriate language packs and make the default language (especially the site ones) as the messages has to be displayed in the language of the site - NOT en-GB.

You could get the language files from http://community.joomla.org/translations.html.

If you want to have the same look and feel of the site, you could first create a model site with appropriate extensions. Once you are happy, you could copy that model site to create other sites.
