multi language editing

Hi, I am less than a newbie in joomla and I have to edit a web site with joomla 1.5 with multi language.
I manage to edit the default language, add the article in the front page but I cannot do this to the second language.
I dont know how to access the second language back end.
I manually(directly in the database) add the article but it wont show.
Any suggestion will be most welcome.

Be informed that Joomla! 1.5 is no longer supported. The life of Joomla! 1.5 ended in September 2012, almost eight years back.

First check whether any third party extension such as GTranslate that uses Google Translation service is being used. If the answer is Yes, then there is no need to add additional content. The original elements would be automatically translated on the fly when the site is used.

If no automatic translation service is being used, check whether the third party extension such as Joom! Fish or Mulilang M17n is being used. If the answer is Yes, please invoke that component that would most likely be listed under the menu item Components. Follow the instructions or refer the extension's manual.

If you add the article manually in the database then you must familiarize yourself with the table structure and the table dependencies.

Thank you very much for your answer and I appreciate that some people still try to help for something so old.
I had the information that you gave me from my search before I post this question. I mean did a lot of search before I ask for help.
As I was waking up, I found the answer. The manually added article was not there because of the cache, so, I cleared the cache and now is visible.
It is wired that I can not access the second language backend.
Each language has its own folder, its own database and in order to visit the other language the url gets an "/en/" at the end.
I can not login to the mysite.com/en/administrator, it says "bad user name or password" or something.

at the extension manager I have a language section with 2 languages but I still cannot find how I can access the backend.

If somebody help me or not is not that important any more because I solved my issue.

The component Language Manager should be managing your multilingual site.
