Web Design, Hosting and Templates using Joomla

Post by flhtcuu » Sat Nov 14, 2009 4:53 pm

I have developed a lot of Joomla sites for customers and finally decided to branch out on my own. This site features Joomla templates that I feel are a bit unique and also offers custom work. My main business is web design and hosting, which of course is what this site's main purpose is, but I have been asked to develop so many Joomla templates over the years that I decided to make this a feature of the website. I also showcase some of the many other websites I have developed, of course I could only show off a few.
In the future I will offer a variety of templates for free to users, but I have not yet gotten around to this since it really has just gotten off the ground.

I find the logo hard on the eyes. The monitors on either side are very bright...

Also, you say your main business is web design and hosting, but I don't see anywhere to purchase either of those.

I think you are on the right track, but it could be refined a little bit more to put your products in the customer's face and allow them to make a quick, easy purchase.

Really like the left menu and articles design but I don't like the header (logo is blurry, the top menu is kinda "small" and useless in my opinion, and the light from the monitors is too bright) and I really don't like the background.

I appreciate the input from the both of you. Thanks.
I made some changes to the content and to the header, hopefully making it a bit easier on the eyes.
I agree with you tuber, I needed to put my products out there more visible to the user, which I think I did with my content additions.
Not really sure what you mean by the top menu being useless buzzvicky since it is a fully functional navigation menu. Maybe you mean it is redundant to the side menu? If that is the case then yes, you are right, it is simply another navigation menu, which is why it is small and unobstrusive to the content. I think this is more a personal preference. I personally prefer top menu sites and don't really like the side menu, which I suppose I could have eliminated completely, but some people prefer the side menu, hence the personal preference statement.

I really do appreciate both your comments and the time you took to check the site out.
