Hello,
My new Joomla 1.5 website is located at http://CampWagonWheel.com. I help manage the campground and made the site for it. I am basically done except for minor tweaks and seo.

The Wagon Wheel Campground located near the Wisconsin Dells is composed of 100+ seasonal campers and about a dozen or so sites for Tents or RVs. I included a community for the seasonal campers to allow them to keep in touch.

I invite you to register as a seasonal camper in order to view the community.

Looks great. Don't re-size larger images through script. Re-size them to the size you need before including them in your page.

Ok, yeah i just resized them with the editor, I will change them with gimp.
I'm assuming that is for page loading speed then or is their another reason?

Rocket Theme templates are fun but before I clicked on the link, I had already envisioned in my mind that this website would use a western look and feel with desert browns.

The site is very nice - there are a lot of features put into this website and it's chock full of information.

I was hoping for more of a desert / cowboy look and feel or something to showcase the "Wagon Wheel" name.
Understandably you are in Wisconsin but even when I lived in Wisconsin, I never thought of Wisconsin as dark and gloomy.

I hope that doesn't sound too negative - because the site is nicely put together!

Yes and while on the subject I'd use AddThis or the AddThis extension instead of Sexy Bookmarks because Sexy Bookmarks uses two large PNG files.

22kb & 76kb

That would shave off another 100kb off your front page.

Your store can be compressed a bit more also.

Current is 28kb


Reduced is only 15kb


Lastly I agree with Invectra that campground brown and a more cowboy "look" to it all would be more fitting than the glossy nightclub look. The lightening also seems very out of place for a campground and is usually something campers dread, not what you want to use to attract people to your campground.
