Import data base. I'm confused about the "file" to import!

I have created a web site and joomla database localy. I need to import my data base. I know how does the process work. But I'm confused about the "file" to import. I mean the database my sql file. I do not how to recognise it, how to modify it. Can u help me?

You have to export the file with phpmyadmin on your PC and then import it on the server.

Look at Akeeba Backup if you want to move your website from localhost to the server. Akeeba Backup creates a file which contains your Joomla installation and the database.
