Error installing extensions (Warning! Failed to move file)

Hi,

I am trying to upgrade to a Joomla 2.5 from 1.5.11. I was doing some reading on that and I figured that I should upgrade to 1.5.25 before attempting to go to 2.5.

I was trying to install the Akeeba Admin tools to get me to make the jump, but I am unable to install the extension. I've never had a problem installing extensions before and I believe I have the necessary write permissions. But its been more than an year since I logged in to update the website or install an extension. Below is the Forum Post Assistant log.

I hope someone can help me diagnose the issue.

I just tried installing a different extension and the same error message pops up.
