Global Site Meta Keywords vs. Page Desc

Post by powel84 » Tue Apr 30, 2013 1:45 pm

Hi everyone!

I'm in the process of reviewing my website before creating the sitemap. I'm using a tool called A1 Sitemap Generator 4.2.2 to help me out. I'm running Joomla Version 1.5.15 and Virtuemart 1.1.4 - and would need a little guidance in answering the following question:

In my sitemap I can see that the "Joomla Global Site Meta Keywords" = Page. Keywords for all of my different products , should I worry about it and make sure it corresponds to the particular products?
My understanding is that I could simply leave it as is and make sure the Page Desc is explicit and specific to the product.

I would appreciate any input that could help me know if I have this right?

I'm sure this is a newbie's question!! But I've been working on websites for only 2 months now and I feel I need a bit of human help with all this SEO stuff! :-[

Thanks in advance,
Jean-Mathieu

If you are posting inique contents in your pages. then don't worry about anything. Youcan put unlimited keywords in your page. but Search Engines have algorythm to select the better keyword. So using lot of keywords on your page meta area is wasting your time and may decrease your rank on search engines...
