.# at the end of URL

.# at the end of URL

Hello, I have a website Joomla 1.5 (http://www.synpeka.gr)
K2 component. At the end of Item URL there is a .# and some numbers. This is not good for open graph for facebook.

How can I remove the .# at the end of articles url?

This is because of a social sharing embed code that you have on your website - possibly AddThis (there are also many others which seem to like this weird habit). We have discussed the problem here: http://www.itoctopus.com/weird-hash-in- ... se-and-fix

Note that some JavaScript embeds do not allow you to remove that weird hash, so you'll have a choice, either to leave it or either to remove the embed completely.

# means that the url navigate to an anchor tag on the page.
