Using Both Tamil and English

Hi,

In my site i am using a blog in which i want to post both languages.Like English entry as well as Tamil Entry.I am using JCE Text Editor.If i mention the font name in Editor parameters in additional fonts of the Editor,the font is reflecting in editor but language is not changing when selected.When i copy paste tamil it is pasted as English.I require forum members to help.Attaching the screenshot with this post.

I am using Joomla 1.5

What version of Joomla! are you using?

Whether the database and its elements (e.g., columns, table) have the Collation sequence uts8_general_ci?

Try using the extension such as IndicWriter (http://extensions.joomla.org/extensions ... tent/10943), to switch between languages while typing.

My DB Collation is currently latin1_swedish_ci

So i should be changing this to UTF8_general_ci or UTF8_unicode_ci ?

If you have a database that has the collation sequence latin1_swedish_ci, try the following:

(a) Export the content of the database (that is being used in Joomla!) using tools such phpMyAdmin
(b) Create a new database with the collation sequence uts8_general_ci
(c) Import the content of the database that was exported in step (a)
