Does this Team still exist?

Postby leolam » Tue Dec 02, 2014 3:42 pm

Does the Resources.joomla.org team still exist? Does anybody manages this important domain in Joomla? I know who is suppose to manange this but nothing is coming out of it?

Requesting on 16th of October an entry of our company "gws-desk.com" and till today 2nd of December not a single reply from that "team" What kind of treatment is that? Are you alive and doing something for this community?

Leo, I believe you have communicated with some of the team-members on Slack now. Also, for others looking at this thread and wanting to help, please see: http://volunteers.joomla.org/working-gr ... etinvolved

Brad you might find it useful to add a link to "volunteers" in the menu's of the sites (in top here for instance?)

Hello,

I would also like to add that our team, after launching the new Joomla! Resources Directory in August 2014 was hit with 350 applications. We are a small team of volunteers and each application takes 15 minutes to process because we need to review the community involvement, trademarks usage and create a support ticket.

Luckily, we now have a new custom plugin whereby a ticket is created automatically upon applying so you know we have received your application.

Our goal is to have all applications reviewed and responded to by the 15th of January 2015.

To volunteer, please contact us here:

Warm Regards,

Dawn Russell
Group Leader

Dawn, with all the respect you and your team are doing for Joomla but I start to laugh about this!. I posted on 16th October 2014. We are now over 3 month further and I have not received a single message from this team.

350 applications could have been handled in effectively 10 working days based on your 15 minutes per ticket. I do realize you have a process time but 350 applications not handled in 3 month's is for me beyond reasonable process time!

You think his is normal? Me not for sure!

Regards,

Major Milestone: All Applications have been Reviewed!

When we set out to create the new JRD there were over 350 submissions waiting to go through the approval process. We’re happy to share that we have reviewed of all of these submissions! Moving forward, our goal is to process each new submission within a two week period of time.

You should have received an email if your submission was approved or placed into a pending status. If your listing is pending, review the JRD Approval Process to be sure you have met all criteria. One of the most common reasons submissions were not accepted was because it was not clear how the applicant is actively volunteering for the Joomla Project. You can log in to update your submission by including links to your forum.joomla.org profile, your volunteers.joomla.org profile or by adding details about how you volunteer to support the project.

Other reasons applications were not accepted is because the applicant did not have a working website, there were issues with the trademark and/or disclaimer on the applicant’s site or the site had a language issue. Once you resubmit the application, we will be happy to take another look - just make sure to update your support ticket. If an applicant does not respond to their ticket within three months, the ticket will be closed.

Review Your Ticket Now by going to http://resources.joomla.org/en/login-page

Glad that after I contacted 3 members of the CLT (Community Leadership Team) something was finally done and my over 3-month application was approved. I am not sure that the bold cry-out is something to be proud of especially for the period it took.

Thanks and keep on the work
