heavyboots wrote: Yep, you're right. I just installed it and it works. I wonder what the deal was? Anyways, now I must go eat crow in the Mozilla bug reports area...  :P

Thanks for the info!

EDIT: Of course, now the question is... how to bring those bug-fixes (or all of the 2.0 code) across to mosCE? :-\
I'm working on it. :)

@JasonB: Each user can have their own setting for editor in recent versions. If your 'user' account has an editor set this would override the global setting.

You can find out whether your account has an editor set in the back end /administrator/ section. On the main menu: Site -> User Manager and select your account in the list. Your preferred editor is listed on the right. If not set, you will use the editor set in the 'global' config dialog.

I've been experiencing the same with FF-1.5 on RH9 & FC2 systems.  I've also check FF-1.5 & IE on MS-W/XP, which doesn't appear to have the issue.  Once in a while if I reload the page it will display properly, but mostly I loose both edit windows.  Mozilla 1.1.7 appears to work fine on the RH9 system, but I seem to recall having similar issues with FF-1.0.x on FC2.

Usually I've  only experienced it happening with the first tinyMCE window on the page when editing an existing entry.  I experience the problem on the site I'm in the process of building (Joomla 1.0.4) and the Joomla demo site.  (BTW: I've checked the page source, and the data is there...)

I'll also check out the FireFox ticket referenced earlier in the thread.

OK, downloaded tinymce 2.0.1 and installed it on my site.  It appears to behave better now.

How soon till we see it offically integrated into Joomla (joomlaCE)?

Thanks for the thread.
