Identify what is being used by VistaPrint online

Post by mexiken » Sun Dec 30, 2007 4:34 pm

I don't really know where to start with this question, so I hope that someone may be able to redirect me to a better place to post if I'm not in the right place...

I would like to have users able to edit items similar to what is seen/used on http://www.VistaPrint.com for creating things such as ads, flyers, postcards etc. (see this sample: http://www.vistaprint.com/vp/ns/studio3 ... esigns%3d0)

I am not concerned with connecting to a final printing solution, but simply to be able to easily edit various fields overlaying an image, adding new images (such as a person's photo) on top, and the ability to place these items freely in whatever location desired on top of the base artwork.  (the ability to quickly/easily change the color scheme is a cool feature too).

I hope my question makes sense and that someone can steer me in the right direction of where/how to start figuring this out.  Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Happy (and safe!) New Year to all!

I think you may want to look at one of the applications that can be installed free with http://www.WebWizardWill.biz hosting. They have great hosting for Joomla sites at a good price.
If I am understanding the original question, one of the open source programs could be adapted to your needs.

This would need to be ported into Joomla, if that is what you are wanting. I hope that helps. Or at least gives you a starting point.

has a joomla equivalent ever been produced that does something similar to vistaprint? I am wanting to start a business making misc. items but would love to have customers be able to make custom changes online.

I am quite shocked how people not only spam fest a topic but actually necropost a 2 year old topic with irrelevant info without actually reading the op
