Nearly seven months after I started this topic, I have some good news. Three months ago I created my own crowdfunding exercise and, no, I am not about to advertise where it is or how it operates here in public.
As a result of my fundraising efforts, I can announce that today, I will be making my first donation to The Joomla! Project. I obtained the money from eleven other people (as well as my own contribution, of course) and, altogether we have raised just enough to contribute USD 5.00 and pay the payment gateway costs. That's right: it took me three months (working very quietly behind the scenes) to bring eleven other people together to raise five dollars.
So, today, I am in a very good mood.
