Subline for articles?

Hi everyone,

my idea (or wish:) for future joomla-versions,
adding another line after the title, called "subline".
On many newssites are headline (title) and sublines.

I think it could be a tiny but important modification.

See e.g. this article from 2009 that describes in general adding a field to com_content stuff (i.e., articles) -- and as a specific example it's doing subtitles. It's really not that hard. That's one of the first results for googling "Joomla article subtitle".

[Given that it's from 2009, you may want to google a bit further to find a Joomla3.x variant, or much better update this yourself and publish a detailed "how-to" --- not only will you help others and get "you're a star! you're a god!" type thanks, but also you'll get feedback if there's any error/weakness in there (because people like to tell others what they do wrong.... as this post of mine shows... ). A pure win-win-win situation.]

I am not sure this fits in joomla core ... probably depends on how many people would want this. else it should be an extension.

sorry for late reply.

well, i think it should, no, it MUST be in joomla core.
it's in almost every other major cms, eg. typo3, escenic, coremedia.
i hope it will find its way in joomle core.
