Copy permission settings with article copy

I think this is for the Joomla wish-list, if there is one:

I have set up several user groups, each with front-end access to their own articles but access for each is denied for the other groups.

When I open an article as a super user in the backend admin panel and 'save as copy' it would be very useful if it would save the user permission settings as well as the category.
