Joomla podcast

I'm a podcast addict, and I was wondering today about Joomla podcasts. I searched and found a podcast that seemed to have a good run, but the last episode was in 2016: http://joomlabe.at/podcast/ep105-joomla-beat-update

I'll contact Peter Bui separately, who hosted the podcast, and is part of the Joomla team, but I wanted to get a feel for people's appetite and preferences for a podcast.

The previous podcast was heavy on extension reviews, which of course are useful, but I wondered if people might like other things, like:

• Interviews with members of the Joomla team
  News on coming versions and Joomla Group activities
  Events news (speaking with organisers)
  In-depth discussions on things being debated in the community

What do you think?

I'd really like something interactive, with a direct line to those pulling the strings in the team, and those doing great things in the community. I think it could be a great tool for bringing the community together.

I have no podcasting history, nor any connection with the Joomla team, but I would be interested in exploring this concept and would be interested to hear from people with ideas, especially if they wanted to collaborate or were well-connected with the Joomla Team and think they'd be willing to open up on a podcast.

That's great to hear! Yes, I'd most like to hear from the team and get an understanding of how all the parts fit together, and what's in the works. I wonder if the they'd be up for it. I hope so! Thanks for the Thumbs Up.

My podcast wish list is to have discussions on what things do, hope i use them like layout overrides, juri, jdocument, jfactory etc. maybe Similar to Talking Drupal podcast

I'll get in touch with Tim. Pleased to hear others are thinking about podcasts too! I like the higher level technical discussion idea of yours. It seems much more suited to audio media than extension reviews (which require a demonstration, I think).
