Hello all,
I'm really sorry but I don't know which board is the right one for my question. Please move it to the right destination.
Today I've created my first feature request in the Issue Tracker. Could anyone check it please whether I have made anything wrong?
Thanks in advance
Kindly regards from Germany
Andreas

Re: My first feature request - all things fine?
Andreas you have done nothing wrong and the message is clear. However it is not an Issue but a "Feature Request" and that does not belong on the Tracker. I have commented accordingly on the Tracker
You might want to post this on the forums like viewforum.php?f=575
I do not believe we will pursue such request. We do receive many requests that certain extension functionalities (As you mention this for RS-Finder) should be implemented in "core". We do not believe that these functionalities are warranted to be included since they can be included easy as per extension. So no need for core (which we like to keep as clean and lean as possible) inclusion since it exists already as an extension
Thanks for caring

Re: My first feature request - all things finde?
Thank you for your fast response, Leo, and your link to the Joomla! Ideas Forum. Perhaps an admin could move my topic there, please?
I understand that the core should be clean as possible. But I think the functionality of a smart search within content-titles like the RS-Finder would be a big improvement in the usability of the backend.
And please consider my second suggestion that isn't implemented in RS-Finder, yet: the use of a smart search in the backend to find config options. I love this feature in my WoltLab web applications because this makes the administration of our forum and calendar much faster and easier. Why not in Joomla?
In my opinion this could be a reason to choose Joomla as CMS for a website if this is available out of the box, not as a extension, which is more or less unknown.
But all is fine. I just wanted give my feature request a try.

Offtopic: Perhaps the use of the Issue Tracker for feature requests should be removed there:

It would be interesting for me: What kind of suggestions have (more) chances to be realized?
