Stock Market Investing and Trading News Website

I had an idea for creating a website for stock market investors and traders which provide really easy and fast access to stocks related news. First I created some limited site for myself only, but then I released that other people will also benefit it. Then I imported a large stocks/ETFs/Funds database and put the site online.

Additional Extensions (Components, Modules, Plug ins): Alphacontent, PageCache (not active), FireBoard and JV-LinkExchanger BE components, MyLinks (this was the most critical component I needed. I couldn't put my website publicly online without this litte component, it currently have some malfunction with IE. I even asked help from this forum: http://forum.joomla.org/index.php/topic,203266.0.html ).

Custom Development: Internal database cript and feeds organizer.

Additional Comments: I thought that I also install Community Builder, but then I abandoned this idea. This component is really great, but I don't need such an extended functionality.

Awesome integration of modules and components! The template could use some sprucing up though as it is a bit on the minimalist side but I guess that's whats needed most when it comes to financial service-related sites. All in all, I love the integration of different Joomla extensions.

I would say that your header really needs to be awesome.  Perhaps enlist a graphic designer to create one for you.

Very functional site. I would just use greens from the same palette for the logo and the headers. The logo color saturation is too high.

If I remember correctly then there is a option in Alphacontent for showing it in all pages or what do you mean ?

I have got some drawbacks from my site because I had to uninstall one of the most important component: MyLinks component. Because the coponent is not actively developed anymore and I got an message that the method I used for getting this component working is highly insecure, so I had to uninstall it. I also updated Fireboard to the latest realase 1.0.4

Thank you all for the the feedback. I tried to do something with my template and logo. The current logo is designed to be lightweight and efficient and it works both smaller and higher resolutions. I tried to search a better template, but I failed. Its too difficult to find such a lihghtweight and good looking template.
