joomla 1.6- finding module positions
In joomla 1.5 I used to find module positions from the home page by typing "index.php?tp=1"
I think we cant do the same with joomla 1.6 in that case what I need to do for finding all the module positions in joomla 1.6

Administrator --> Site --> Global Configuration --> System --> Debug Modules --> Click Yes button --> Save
And you can type "index.php?tp=1"

I did so and I got a very strange view. I did not see the module positions.
We need to keep looking for!
Thanks,

System debug is something good but not for show module position in joomla 1.6
please go to
Administrator --> Template Manager -->Options --> Templates Tab --> Preview Module Positions
Then save it. now when you type "?tp=1" after site url you can see module position. i.e. http://localhost/joomla16/?tp=1

Re: joomla 1.6- finding module positions
this one changed in 1.6 to the template manager
you should login to the back end --> Extension -->Template Manager --> (you should select template from the top menu, this is a new feature in 1.6) --> click on Option on the top right --> and Enable Preview module position because this one is disable by default in 1.6
Now your can use tp=1 and realize the position of the module.

I found that some templates does not show up the preview option. I am using now:
http://www.domain.com/?tp=1
So far this method always works.

If the position is defined in the template, you just write it down in the module position box and save it! Then the position will appear in the template.
