SOLVED :: Admin Login Problems

Post by hal9000_2001 » Fri Sep 10, 2010 12:44 am

Hi,

I've installed Joomla 1.6 beta 8 and all went smoothly until I tried to login to administration. The error I get is "Fatal error: Call to a member function login() on a non-object in C:\wamp\www\intranet\administrator\components\com_login\admin.login.php on line 64"

Line 64 is $result = $mainframe->login($credentials);

I'm running on Windows 7 WAMP
Apache Version : 2.2.11
PHP Version : 5.3.0
MySQL Version : 5.1.36

I have no trouble seeing front end and can login use admin credentials to the front end and save profile. Just stuck with the error in admin login.

Any ideas?

Look Dave, I can see you're really upset about this. I honestly think you ought to sit down calmly, take a stress pill, and think things over.

That isn't a file in 1.6. It is in 1.5 though...

Is there a method other than a clean install that can fix this?
Cheers
