FrontPage Component Menu Item

Post by baddman » Mon Nov 07, 2005 8:16 am

Hi guys!

Well, I came across with the documentation and have noticed a small error.  It's in the  FrontPage Component Menu Item. The following lines are the original lines in the documentation. The text marked red is I think offending part.

Parameters:
Menu Image: Allows you to set an image that would appear to the left or right of the menu item. The image must be placed in the /images/stories directory. Furthermore, for the image to show, in Modules -> Site Modules -> [name-of-menu], the *Show Menu Items* option must be set to *Yes* in the parameters.

When I tried this, I could not find *Show Menu Items*, rather *Show Menu Icons*. So i guess it should be *Show Menu Icons* then....

You are most welcome.

I'm gonna be refering to the online adminstrator's manual most of the time (and my students too). i'm teaching joomla! to my high school students as their senior project in my class. in turn they will use joomla! to create, design, and manage web sites for the diffrent businesses of their choosing.  I wanted to be part of the doc team but my time is not just enuf.  So i guess my contribution would be some kind of a "tester" and I'll surely point out any descripancies along the way.

keep up, guys! you're great!

baddman,

Thanks!!! As you have time(even if it is occasional), feel free to proof-ready any thread that has 1st (or 2nd) Revision in the subject line.  They should be quick to do because the major editing has already been done.

Michelle,

I found this thread buried and forgot I even checked it out.

CHECKED IN

Please disregard any small typos (just point them out).  I will look this over after you have edited it again, because I got kind of tired while editing  :)

This Menu Item adds a link to the FrontPage assigned Content Items as listed in the FrontPage Manager. The contents are displayed under a "blog" format. The blog format displays articles as a series of short summaries of items on your site.
